KYLE: Hi I’m Kyle Pauletto
GIANNI: and I’m Gianni Di Giovanni

KYLE: While they won’t just bloody announce the thing, Nintendo is still fine with dropping tiny details about the successor to the Nintendo Switch.
In a market announcement which was also shared on social media Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa said the “Switch 2” will play all of the existing switch games, and be compatible with Nintendo Switch Online.
It also came out that sales of the existing Switch console were slowing down, because duh, people want to buy the new one which can play all the existing games.
GIANNI: A few other details appeared allegedly discovered by dataminers, courtesy of a mysterious online test, that a the new console included support for 4K resolution and mesh shaders which points to some pretty reasonable power.
Get on with it Furukawa-san, just put us out of our misery.

GIANNI: If there’s anything we can rely on, it’s that gamers will always find a way to run Doom on any hardware they can get their hands on.
Well the absurd new Nintendo clock, the Nintendo Alarmo is no exception.
This time we have Nintendo hardware enthusiast GaryOderNichts to thank for taking this clock through the Doom test, and you can check out the full hacking process on his blog post which we’ll link in the show notes.
It’s a time honoured tradition when a new bit of kit comes out to port Doom across to it, and by all accounts the game runs better than on original 90s hardware.
KYLE: At $160 Australian dollars, I'm glad it can do something more than originally advertised.
But I'm not sure Doom is going to push me to purchase.
Get Elden Ring running on that sucker, and then maybe we’ll talk.

KYLE: After three years of rumours and behind-closed-doors negotiations, Variety has confirmed that Amazon is officially working on a Mass Effect TV Series.
We’ve been promised something live-action from this series basically since the game series first released back in 2007, mostly in the form of failed feature films though.
Personally, I think a series is the way to go, given how much story there is to play with from the first three games.
GIANNI: And the best news is it’ll be executive produced and written by Daniel Casey, who’s most recent credit is the 9th Fast and Furious movie, which is my favourite film series of all time.
Jokes aside, also executive producing is Karim Zreik, who worked on the Netflix Marvel shows which were like 80% really great, so there is some hope!
It’s early days still, but we’ll keep you updated as more information is released.

GIANNI: Chuck this in the old rumour bucket Kyle, but it looks like with the anniversary quickly approaching 90s RTS Warcraft II will be getting a remaster.
I loved this game. It was one of the first I remember playing, my uncle had it installed on his computer before he bought us a copy and I’d spend hours just building big armies and making maps.
KYLE: it was confirmed by website WoWhead, which found “Warcraft II: Remastered Internal Alpha” was added to Blizzard’s servers.
It wasn’t long before some key art appeared and logos appeared too.
There is a Warcraft series 30th anniversary livestream direct on Wednesday 13th November 10AM Pacific, which works out to be the 2AM Thursday in WA or 5AM on the East Coast of Australia where more details are expected.
Ready to get sucked into the Nostalgia Gianni.
GIANNI: So ready, god I hope they don’t botch it like the did with the Warcraft 3 Reforged.. please.

KYLE: That’s it for the big headlines, here are the games coming out this week
GIANNI: Another year, another edition of Farming Simulator for all you crop nerds. Farming Simulator 25 introduces a bunch of new cultivation options like spinach and rice, in all new environments like East Asia and Central Europe. Grab it on PC, PS 5, and Xbox Series S and X on the 12th.
KYLE: Out Wednesday is the highly anticipated point and click adventure The Rise of the Golden Idol. It’s the second instalment in the indie detective saga and features 20 new cases to solve. That’s out on the 12th on all platforms, including…Netflix. What a strange time to be alive.
GIANNI: And last game out on the 12th is Tetris Forever, a hybrid video game series and interactive documentary featuring 14 classic versions of Tetris from its 40 years of history, and a brand new co-op multiplayer inclusion. Tetris Forever is coming to all platforms Wednesday.
KYLE: And finally we have Lego Horizon Adventures. If you like the Horizon series, and you like Lego, you know what to do.This is for Mitch and Gianni basically, sometimes dreams do come true. Out on PC, PlayStation 5, and Switch this coming Thursday.
