The highly awarded Florence by Melbourne based studio Mountains, has secured three nominations at this year's Game Awards.
Florence the Apple Design Award & Australian Game Developer Award winning mobile game from Melbourne based studio has received three nominations at The Game Awards on November 13.
Florence was nominated in the Games for Impact, Best Mobile Game, Best Debut Indie Game categories.
Florence is a narrative game that follows the life of 25 year old Florence Yeoh as she navigates life and romance in Melbourne.
Speaking to the ABC in October after their Apple Design Award win, producer Kamina Vincent said that players of the game were struck by seeing themselves represented in this modern Australian story.
The game was recently selected by Time Magazine as one of their top ten games of 2018, including fellow Annapurna Interactive game Donut County.
The game faces some stiff competition at the Game Awards in the nominated categories from the likes of Fortnite, PUBG Mobile, Donut County and Life is Strange 2.
