Experimentation is key in hack 'n slash adventure NOBODY SAVES THE WORLD

February 3, 2022 8:30 AM

You might be just a nobody, but it's up to you to take up the heroic mantle in Drinkbox Studios' (GUACAMELEE) new rogue-lite roleplaying game NOBODY SAVES THE WORLD.

In this game you change form into bodybuilders, rats, mermaids and necromancers to complete quests, delve through dungeons and fight off the calamity facing everyone.

Adam is joined by guest reviewer Chantelle McColl (GamesHub, Byteside) to discuss this game with both fantastic and frustrating design elements that has work its way into their brains and their hearts.

SIFTER is produced by Nicholas Kennedy, Viv Thum, Fiona Bartholomaeus, Daniel Ang & Adam Christou. Mitch Loh is Senior Producer and Gianni Di Giovanni is our Executive Producer.

Some good ninja stuff, good samurai stuff, it took them a long time to get here but boy I'm glad they did.

Pros:
  • Naoe feels like the old assassins from previous games
  • Yasuke definitely doesn't, which is very welcome change
  • Absolutely stunning world that feels busy and lived in
Cons:
  • Maybe the world actually might be too big?
  • It's an evolution not a revolution, if you've bounced off Assassin's Creed in the past this doesn't break the mold.
